Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire because the wig failed the flammability requirements of BS EN 71-2:2020. During testing, the wig continued to burn for significantly longer than the permitted maximum period after the ignition source had been removed, and flaming debris was observed to fall from the product. This presents the risk of burns to the user, and could also allow fire to spread to other clothing, furnishings, and nearby materials.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
We recommend that owners stop using the product immediately and keep it out of reach of children. Contact the distributor you purchased from for redress.
