Product description
A weight collar / clip used to secure weights onto a dumbbell or barbell. Sold as part of the Fittle Box (a wooden case containing a dumbell bar, weight plates, and weight collars and clips).

Hazard
The product presents a risk of injuries because in some cases, the weight collars can fail to grip the dumbbell bar securely during use. This could result in weight plates coming loose or sliding off, particularly under vertical loading.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
Fittle LTD have launched a modification programme for products in scope of the safety issue. Affected users have been contacted directly with instructions on receiving a replacement collar.
