The product presents a serious risk of injuries as the ladder could not hold the claimed weight without collapsing. If the ladder were to collapse while in use, the user could fall and receive serious injuries. The dimensions of the ladder were noncompliant, and the ladder allowed different distances between rungs while in use. There is also no protection in place to prevent squeezing when the ladder is being collapsed. The product also requires improvements to marking and labelling. Improvements are also required to the product's required information and instructions.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
