Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of burns and injuries as the button batteries are easily accessible. If a child is given the garland to wear, they may be able to remove the battery cover, exposing the button batteries. If placed in the mouth and ingested, the batteries may cause internal burns and injuries. Improvements are also required to product labelling and marking.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
