Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as the plug fuse does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1362. This means that if there was a surge in current or a fault, the fuse may fail to operate as intended, causing the plug to explode and/or catch fire. Improvements are also required to the product marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
