Hazard
The product presents a risk of fire as there is a faulty button on the recliner mechanism. This means there is a risk of the circuit board overheating and malfunctioning, causing the recliner to stop working.
This product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The product has been withdrawn from the market and is subject to a modification programme.
John Lewis have contacted affected customers and advised that they unplug the product and stop using the recline/charging functions. Affected customers should contact the John Lewis & Partners Aftersales Team to arrange a visit and repair via 03456 049 049.
