Hazard
The product presents a risk of injuries as the blades do not stop promptly when the operating control is released. The operator may fail to realise that the blades are still moving, potentially leading to injuries.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users.
Consumers were initially contact about this recall by STIHL in 2023. Owners should stop using the product immediately and return it to a STIHL-approved dealer for a repair or replacement.
