The product presents a serious risk of fire as there is no evidence that it has sufficient battery protective systems in place. There is no evidence to demonstrate that the product has been assessed using relevant UK conformity assessment procedures, as a valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied. There is a lack of labelling, marking and warnings, and the product was supplied with a plug that does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
