Orgenism is recalling Eggshell Membrane Capsules sold on Amazon because Salmonella has been found in the product.
Reason for Update 1: This update is to make consumers aware that the Salmonella found in this product has been linked to human illness after consumption of the product. The Salmonella found is resistant to several antibiotics, therefore particular disposal routes are required.

The presence of Salmonella in the products listed above.
The Salmonella found produces extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL), and is resistant to several antibiotics, (fluoroquinolones, tetracycline and Fosfomycin), making it more difficult to treat.
Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
Public Health Authorities advise if you have consumed this product, you should contact your local Health Protection Team for advice on whether or not you need to be tested and how to safely return the product. Advice on how to do this is included below. Even if you feel well, return of the product is essential so that it can be disposed of in a way that does not contaminate the environment and put others at risk. Do not dispose of this product in household waste or flush the capsules down toilets.

Orgenism is recalling the above product. Amazon sales of this product have stopped. A point-of-sale notice will be displayed on Orgenism website. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached photo of the product.
