Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire as the mains supply cord has excessive resistance, which may cause it to overheat during normal use. Over time this damages the cable and generates heat, potentially leading to a fire. Additionally, the mains plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. Improvements are also required to the documentation and markings.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
